The overall Toronto market saw an increase of 7.3 percent in average sales price year over year. Yet, the number of homes sold was down by about a 1000 from August 2016 to August 2017.
The downtown Toronto Condo market continued it’s record setting pace, which an increase in price of over 21 percent year-over-year. The number of units sold however decreased, which is the trend across all home types.
East Toronto prices were up almost 15 percent, the number of days on the market, saw an increase by a weekfrom 15 to 22 DOM (days on market) year-over-year.
Midtown average prices decreased by 4.67 percent year-over-year.
West Toronto saw a price decrease similar to the east by 4.68 percent year-over-year, while sales volumes and new listings decreased.
The average sales price in the Beaches was up by over 11 percent year-over-year.
Durham home prices have continued to cool from their unprecedented rise, with an increase of 8.36 percent year-over-year.
